Tencel™ Lyocell Products

Lyocell is an artificial fiber from wood pulp range derived by sustainable means like eucalypt. In the process of its manufacture, the wood pulp is first dissolved in a chemical solvent called N-methylmorpholine N-oxide (NMMO).  Subsequently, this solution is put through spinnerets—the resulting filaments of which are collected to wash and dry lyocell fibers.

TENCEL™ lyocell fibers developed by the Austrian company Lenzing AG is a particular trademark. TENCEL™ Lyocell has also received a green reputation: unlike normal lyocell, its production process is fully closed off so that as much slurry left over from prior runs as possible can be recycled. This has pricey implications for down the road consumer wallets and earth alike; including shipping without an additional fee to send cloths wrapping trash material along arm's way.
